The aim is to foster a more relaxed connection with plants, recognizing their importance in our diets. It is widely accepted that we should consume more plant-based foods; therefore, becoming acquainted with them is essential. This tool aims to help integrate these ingredients into daily routines.

Come+Plantas also delves into botanical families, providing insight into flavor pairings. The application utilizes illustrations to maintain a user-friendly and agile experience. Powered by Microsoft Azure, the app operates in the cloud and facilitates the discovery and learning process regarding unknown vegetables through advanced artificial intelligence recognition.

The primary objective is to enable intuitive cooking, empowering users to improvise confidently while preparing delicious meals. Utilizing technology for this purpose allows us to reconnect with our culinary roots, reinforcing the notion that at least half of every plate should consist of vegetables.

HOW IT WORKS

• Log in daily to discover a different seasonal vegetable. You can explore that vegetable or uncover other options.
• To identify new vegetables, search by name in the app or use your phone's camera on an unfamiliar one for Microsoft’s AI to recognize it. This feature allows for an exciting exploration of new culinary possibilities.
• Upon selecting a vegetable, a detailed card will appear. Swiping right reveals information such as its botanical family, origin, varieties, harvesting regions within the country, optimal consumption seasons, preparation tips, storage suggestions, and ideal pairings.
• For users seeking extensive information at a more expert level, there is a "See More" option that provides additional tips, interesting facts, and data regarding each vegetable.
• Tips can be saved for later consultation and shared on social media through the "My Saved Tips" feature located at the bottom right of the main menu.
• The app includes information on over 90 vegetables across 30 different botanical families, each identified by a specific background color. For example, those with a violet background complement each other well when prepared together.
